100% of first 6% explanation is misleading

"...once the employee contributes 6% of their gross pay, the employer’s contributions stop until the following year" suggests that if I contributed 12% of my salary to my 401(k), my employer would stop matching my contributions after 6 months. That's not the case. My employer would match half that 12% for the full year, not the full 12% for half the year. Dsethlewis (talk) 21:23, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
